About us...
The Cambridge Canine Education Group was an established companion dog training club in the Cambridge area. For over 35 years Alan Cole owned and ran the club which grew and evolved during that time. Initially offering classes in a church hall in Chesterton he then secured the use of a field and classes have been held outdoors in Impington ever since.
Since March 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the popularity of this club has still been evident even though we had to endure bad weather, class restrictions and temporary closure!
An announcement from Alan to the team in the Autumn of 2020 wishing to step back from the running of CCEG came as a great sadness to us all but being the 'family' we are it was decided to continue the club in his honour and so 'CCEG21' was born!
Run by me, Vickie Arkesden, an instructor of the club of around 27+years , CCEG21 will continue to offer companion dog training and fun & games classes.
2024 celebrates 40years of CCEG & CCEG21 running companion dog training classes in Cambridge!
I am proud to have taken the reins more recently from Alan Cole who initially founded CCEG back in 1984.
Collectively, along with volunteers & trainers who have come and gone, (or are still with us!), we have helped many dogs and owners over the past 40 years and have met some wonderful people who regularly return with new additions as time passes!

Private Facebook Group for CCEG21 members!
We have a private Facebook group open for current members of CCEG21. We envisage it being a communication tool regarding class times & dates, last minute cancellations due to bad weather, stopping and restart dates etc as well as to share photos, anecdotes, training info and anything else club related!

Terms & Conditions Update:
After a review of our T&Cs to comply with our insurance company and the Government following the update to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, we have made amendments to be compliant with the legal obligations regarding XL Bully breeds and XL Bully breed types for our current members. However we will no longer be accepting new memberships for dogs covered under the guidance.
We thank you for your understanding in this issue.

Classes Held
Puppy Classes
Puppy classes are for dogs under 6months of age that have been fully vaccinated and able to mix with other dogs.
We cover the basics from sit & down to loose lead walking and recall, accepting handling and appropriate greetings.
Beginner Classes
Beginner classes are held for those progressing from puppy class or for dogs 6months and over who need an introduction to training. We cover the basics taught in puppy class but progress this learning to be able to use it in every day life in a practical way.
Intermediate Classes
Intermediate classes are held for those progressing on from beginner groups that want to advance their basics and apply the learning in a more challenging way. Typically those that hold or are working towards a Good Citizen Silver Award will be in this group.
